Details: Michael owes money to Dublin’s meanest gangster, Darren Perrier. Afin de se renflouer, il perpètre un cambriolage qui tourne à la catastrophe lorsque sa voisine suicidaire (Jodie Whittaker), pour qui il languit d’amour, abat un fier-à-bras de Perrier venu collecter les sommes dues. Forcé de prendre la fuite, il erre en sa compagnie, et celle imposée par son père (le lauréat aux Oscarmd, Jim Broadbent; Le Secret de Vera Drake, Indiana Jones et le royaume du crâne de Cristal), un grossier personnage obsédé par la mort. Ainsi, en plus d’esquiver les réseaux criminels, Michael devra protéger son père de la Grande Faucheuse (Gabriel Byrne). Écrit par le dramaturge Mark O’Rowe (Boy A) et réalisé par Ian Fitzgibbon, La Prime comblera les amateurs d’Arnaques, crimes et botanique et de Bienvenue à Bruges.
